Superman Begins

Slashfilm spoke here to James McTeigue about rumors he might be working on the possible 2012 prequel. He responded: "You know ... I ... I would say ... I'll keep you guessing, actually. It's good not to dispel every rumor, right?"

Jericho

Comic Book Resources says here that Devil's Due Comics is publishing a direct continuation of the cancelled TV series.

The Thing

Bloody Disgusting spoke here to Eric Heisserer about the prequel to the John Carpenter film. The writer said: "It's a really fascinating way to construct a story because were doing it by autopsy, by examining very, very closely everything we know about the Norwegian camp and about the events that happened there from photos and video footage that’s recovered. From a visit to the base, the director, producer and I have gone through it countless times marking, you know, there's a fire axe in the door, we have to account for that… were having to reverse engineer it, so those details all matter to us 'cause it all has to make sense.'"

Dune

Sci Fi Wire has posted this report on just how different the Peter Berg version of the sand laden story. Berg said: "[The book] was much more muscular and adventurous, more violent and possibly even a little bit more fun… I think those are all elements of my experience of the book that can be brought in without offending the die-hard fans of the Bene Gesserit and Kwisatz Haderach. There’s a more dynamic film to be made."

The Green Hornet

Sony Pictures has said here that Taiwanese singer Jay Chou has been picked to play Kato in the film, set to open on July 9, 2010.
