Iron Man 2

Here are the tweets by Jon Favreau on the set of the film. The movie is set to open on May 7, 2010.

Dead of Night

There is a bunch of stuff online about the upcoming 2010 comic book adaptation. First, Shock Till You Drop has the first picture of Brandon Routh as Dylan Dog here. Here they have a preview of their set visit. Then Sci Fi Wire has a picture of Taye Diggs in character as "the sleek and sinister leader of a family of vampires in the movie" here. And here they have info about their set visit.

The Irishman

Empire Movies reports here that Ray Stevenson, Christopher Walken and Val Kilmer will star in this adaptation of the Rick Porrello book "To Kill the Irishman: The War That Crippled the Mafia." to be directed by Jonathan Hensleigh (who also wrote the screenplay). The 2010 mob drama tells of the life of mobster Danny Greene (Stevenson), the man who ran Cleveland's criminal underworld during the late 1970s. Walken plays the loan-sharking nightclub owner Shondor Birns and Kilmer is a Cleveland cop who befriends Greene.

The Hollywood Reporter tells us here that Jeffrey Nachmanoff will direct the adaptation of the Oni Press comic book for Warner Brothers. Matthew Fox is attached to star. The tale tell of an elite hit man who is nearly killed during a botched job. He decidess that the only way to redemption is ridding the world of assassins. The comic book, written by B. Clay Moore and illustrated by Eric Kim, is to be published later this year.

Piranha 3-D

CHUD reports here that Jerry O'Connell will be a star in the 3-D remake of the often remade John Sayles/Joe Dante bargain basement thriller of 1978. The cast already includes Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, Richard Dreyfuss, and Dina Meyer. The film opens on March 19, 2010.

The Green Lantern

Latino Review says here that the DC Comics film's opening has been moved back to Summer 2011. There are some other opening dates they gave out, a couple that caught our eye were "Happy Feet 2 in 3D" -- 11/18/11 & "A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas" 11/5/10. BTW: John Cho says that he had no idea what was going on with the third film.
