Dante's Inferno, Marvel Films, TV DVD News, Wonder Woman, Ghostbusters 3, Comic Previews


Dante's Inferno

Electronic Arts Inc. and Starz Media's Film Roman have begun production on the animated movie. The feature expands from the story in EA's new Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game, coming out in 2010, which is based on part one of Dante Alighieri's epic Italian poem The Divine Comedy. Victor Cook will direct the script by Brandon Auman with a theatrical release slated for 2011.



Marvel Films

Variety reports here that Marvel Entertainment is putting together a group of writers focus on creating scripts for various Marvel properties. Up to five writers each year will work on specific projects. Marvel executives will choose the writers, with the final decision made by Kevin Feige. The gathering of screenwriters will help Marvel come up with creative ways to launch lesser-known properties, like Black Panther, Cable, Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Nighthawk and the Vision.

Wonder Woman

IESB reports here that Warner Brothers is really pushing for the live action 2011 film to finally get going after so many false starts. We shall see, we shall see.



Ghostbusters 3

Harold Ramis spoke here to MTV about the current state of the film. He puts to bed a lot of rumors, and says the film is a definite go. Judd Apatow will not be directing, but Ramis, Ackroyd and Murray will be involved. Ramis said: "We're all going to be in it in different kinds of roles. We're going to be the sage mentors. There are going to be young Ghostbusters."
