Iron Man 2, Oldboy, TV DVD News, Magnum P.I., Arrested Development, Comic Previews

Iron Man 2

Justin Theroux told UGO about developing his screenplay for the 2010 film and they quoted him here. Theroux said: "We've kind of got a first draft around. You know what I mean? I just got back from London where I was working with Robert and Kevin Feige. He was out there. We were talking with Robert, who's out there doing 'Sherlock Holmes,' he was giving his input and his notes. We're sort of there. It's just sort of chugging along. The crews, I think, are now starting to see what they need to make, and the places that we might be going and all the rest within the story. That's sort of one of the more exciting times."

Oldboy

Film School Rejects says here that the Steven Spielberg/Will Smith project will adapt comics by Garon Tsuchiya and Nobuaki Minegishi. Smith said: "It's the original source material. There's the original comics of 'Oldboy' that they made the first film from. And that's what we're working from, not an adaptation of the film."

TV DVD News

TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted info about "Melrose Place" (Season 5, Vol. 1) here, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (Season 8) here & here, "Charmed" (Complete Series) here, "10 Items or Less" (Seasons 1 & 2) here, "Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist" (Best of . . .) here, "Room 222" (Season 1) here.

Magnum P.I.

Brian Grazer says that Matthew McConaughey will not star in a big screen version. Grazer said: "I think the idea for Magnum P.I. is to find a counterpoint, to not try and find the new Tom Selleck but to find someone that is just so different that you go, oh my God! That guy is Magnum?!? It's so much about casting. You have to find the actor that adds through his own personality something to the title."

Arrested Development

Ron Howard and creator Mitch Hurwitz have apparently signed the paperwork to make the film version.
