Hulk vs., Billy Batson and the Legend of Shazam, TV DVD News, X-Files 3, The Prince, Comic Previews

Hulk vs.

If you are into Direct to DVD adaptations of comics, this should interest you. Marvel Animation Age has posted a bunch of captures from these right here. The feature contains two shorter films "Hulk vs. Thor" and "Hulk vs. Wolverine."

Billy Batson and the Legend of Shazam

Latino Review says here that Warner Brothers has acquired film, with script by John August. Peter Segal will direct the 2011 DC Comics adaptation. Segal and Michael Ewing have worked on the film for two years at New Line, but now the property has moved.

TV DVD News

TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted info about "Hotel Babylon" (Season 3) here, "Duckman" (Seasons 3 & 4) here, "Simon & Simon" (Season 2) here, "Mannix" (Season 2) here, "Suspense" (The Lost Episodes, Collection 3) here, "Tales from the Darkside" (Season 1) here.

X-Files 3

Sci-Fi Movie Page is quoting Frank Spotnitz as saying here that the DVD sales of "X-Files: I Want To Believe" will tell if they do a third film. This one would deal with the invasion that was the culmination of the conspiracy story line for the series. Spotnitz said: "As you know the date of December 2012 is an important one in The X-Files, and I'd like to focus on that."

The Prince

CHUD reports here that John Carpenter's 2010 project may not be what you think. After he finishes with 2009's "Riot" (w/Nicholas Cage) he is to work on a gangster film. Co-writer Jeremy Passmore says: "We [Passmore and co-writer Andre Fabrizio] were trying to do 'Unforgiven' as a gangster movie, because we're both just huge fans of that. It's a bit of a departure. It's definitely more of a very character based crime movie. I don't know what's going on with it right now, but the premise is that this guy was the most [badass] gangster of all time in Las Vegas, and he's left the life and created this whole new world. His wife died but he's raising his kid. He's living in the middle of nowhere and he's this very religious, trying to live a straight life guy. His daughter is now going to school at UCLA and she disappears, and he goes looking for her. The trail leads to Vegas and he has to go get her, and the entire city kind of comes down on top of him."
