Sci Fi Wire has posted here a nice report from director Vadim Jean about the 4 hour mini-series adaptation of the Terry Pratchett novel, with Jeremy Irons, Sean Astin, Tim Curry and Christopher Lee as the Voice of Death.

Variety says here that Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor have left the film, but Josh Brolin is still set to star.

Now word is Brandon Routh may be back in the film. Meanwhile Bryan Singer said here to MTV about his possible return to the film: "At the moment I can't really talk about that. I wish I could. From my perspective I'm going to take a brief pause. ['Valkyrie'] has taken a long time so I'm going to take a pause. A movie like that takes some time to do right. That's all I can say about that."
Battle: Los Angeles
The Hollywood Reporter says here that the 2010 Jonathan Liebesman directed film has added Aaron Eckhart to head the cast. The story is that Eckhart commands a platoon of marines fighting aliens in the middle of Los Angeles.
