Sherlock Holmes, 300: The Sequel/Prequel, TV DVD News, Watchmen, Angel Heart Remake, Comic Previews


Sherlock Holmes

On location in London shooting is set to start for the being directed by Guy Ritchie, for Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures. Robert Downey Jr. plays Holmes while Jude Law is Dr. Watson. We will also see Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler, whom Holmes called "The Woman," and Mark Strong will play amysterious new adversary named Blackwood.



300: The Sequel/Prequel

IESB spoke here with Zack Snyder and he said that development on the film project will only happen when Frank Miller is done writing and illustrating the graphic novel's sequel. Snyder wants to give Miller full creative control of the novel's story.

Watchmen

Jeffrey Dean Morgan said this to MTV about his character the Comedian: "He does kind of have a twisted sense of humor. There were days that weren't necessarily easy -- because he kind of does some sick things -- and so there were a couple days where, as an actor, that trying to justify what I was doing was a little difficult. But at the end of the day, man, it was awesome. How often are you going to get a chance to play the creepiest guy in the world?" Comic Book Resources News posted this report after a screening of a great deal of footage.



Angel Heart Remake

Michael De Luca and partner Alison Rosenzweig have bought rights to William Hjortsberg's novel "Falling Angel," the book Alan Parker's film was based. No other word on cast or crew for the remake was available.
