After being a popular television series, based on the 60 books running for four seasons from 1995 to 1998 on the Fox Kids Network, the R.L. Stine title will be heading for the big screen. Producer Neal Moritz said: "Numerous people have tried to bring 'Goosebumps' to the bigscreen, but luckily Scholastic never found the right fit. I've been a huge fan of the property for a long time. I met with Deborah [Forte] several times and convinced her that Original and Sony were the best place to take it." Deborah Forte of Scholastic Media added: "The time is ripe for doing a movie. The first generation of 'Goosebumps' fans are in their early 20s now." The film is scheduled to hit theatres in 2010.
Michael Moore will create a sequel to "Fahrenheit 9/11," his hit documentary about the Iraq war, and will release it next spring. Overture Films announced that Moore had agreed to delay the release so that it will not appear to be backing any candidate. The original film grossed nearly $220 million worldwide.
