Harbinger

ComicBookMovie.com says here that the live action adaptation of Jim Shooter's "Harbinger" for MTV Films, will be directed by Brett Ratner. In the 1990's comic series Harbingers are humans who have powers that can only be unlocked by "Omega" harbingers. Producer Alexandra Milchan said: "The movie is in the vein of a young 'Blade Runner,' as this 17-year- old gifted kid helps other kids tap into these parts of their brains."

Monster Zoo

Dark Horizons says here that Doug TenNapel's graphic novel tells of an ancient idol found and taken to a U.S. zoo. When the idol spirit mutates the animals a band of teenagers must fight to stop the evil. Image Comics will publish it in May, while Paramount is planning the live-action adaptation. Sam Raimi will produce along with Josh Doen of Buckaroo Entertainment. But there is no writer yet named.

FOX:
"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" has been renewed for another season set to start for the 2008-2009 Fall Season.
"Bones" has been brought back.
NBC:
"Knight Rider" has been picked up for a season's worth of new weekly episodes.
"Medium" will be back.
CBS:
Neither "Moonlight" nor "Jericho" have been given word about their fate.
"The Ghost Whisperer" will continue whispering.
CW:
"Reaper" is on the bubble, but doesn't look good.

I Am Because We Are

Madonna's documentary "I Am Because We Are" (Ubuntu) (whose official site is here) was directed and filmed by her gardener, Nathan Rissman. She said: "He used to be my gardener. He's a brilliant, lovely guy - one of those guys who came into my life and did every job. He was a runner, an intern, a gardener. He took care of my kids. He did everything and he did it with humility. And everyone just grew to love him. And then he started doing these little movies of my children and sending them to me, and making films out of photographs and just being really creative. One day I said, 'I need somebody to document this,' and then looked at him and said, 'And that person is you.' He really stepped up to the plate. He spent a lot of time in Malawi, literally sleeping on the floors of people's huts and waking up with chickens on his head. He really lived it and approached it with an open heart and so much gratitude. People opened their hearts to him. I couldn't have done that."
