Luke Cage

SCI FI Wire spoke to Tyrese Gibson about the theatrical feature about Marvel Comics hero Luke Cage. Gibson hopes to play Cage in the John Singleton directed film. Gibson said: "They're doing rewrites on it now, and we actually have a meeting coming up on it soon, from what I hear, just to see where we are with the whole thing. Right now they're in the process of getting the rewrites done, and then they'll, I guess, do kind of a formal presentation to see if it's going to be a go." What draws Gibson to the character? "I just love his presence, and I love the fact that he's one of the first black comic-book characters. I'd like to make the comic-book world proud with what I'm looking to do with Luke Cage. So hopefully the opportunity all pans itself out. Me and Singleton are both looking to be a part of it, if the screenplay turns out right. I met with [producer] Avi Arad, and he's very excited about the possibility. But you can't do a great movie without a great script, and the ducks have got to line up."

Incredibles 2

Associated Press reports that Brad Bird told them a sequel to "The Incredibles" could still be a possibility. Bird said: "I love the world. I love the characters, and if I could come with a story that was as good or better than the original, I'd go there in a second. I have pieces of things that I would love to see in a sequel, but I haven't got them all together yet, and I certainly wouldn't want to come out there with something that is less than the original . . . Sequels are not part of the business plan at Pixar. It's all about the filmmakers being passionate about going somewhere."

TV DVD News has news about 3 "Goosebumps" DVDs here, the "One Tree Hill" (4th Season) release here, the "Blade: The Series" pilot here and early info on Complete Series Set of "The Sopranos" is here.

Jack Black will star in the Todd Phillips directed Warner Brothers comedy "Man-Witch." Black plays a schoolteacher who discovers his witchlike abilities, is taken in by a coven and persuaded to attend a school for witches. When he gets there he discovers he is the only male. The script is by Jay Reiss.

Nick D'Agosto has joined Dania Ramirez in the ranks of new Heroes next season. D'Agosto will play West, Claire's (Hayden Panettiere) boyfriend, who they say has "a very cool superpower."

Infinity Express
Cecil W. McCall loved his Uncle Shelby. When the old man disappeared and was presumed dead, it affected him greatly. Then came the package, his uncle's legacy. In the package were Time Bands: devices that promised to take the wearer back in time. But Uncle Shelby hadn't left much in the way of instructions. So when McCall accidentally set them off, he was thrown back into the Victorian era, without much preparation. Being a comic and a trivia expert wasn't a lot of help, but being a history nut was.
When he saw he was in the England of Jack The Ripper
he knew what he had to do. With the aid of
Arthur Conan Doyle & the Real Sherlock Holmes,
he sets out to catch the Ripper, find his Uncle and go home.
On the way he meets

He also runs into a time-traveling salesman,

And that is only the beginning . . .
