Whiteout, Teen Wolf, Red Sonja, TV DVD News, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Deadman, Alien Nation, Comic Previews


Whiteout

Collider has posted a bunch of clips (all 7 on one roll) from the thriller here. The film, directed by Dominic Sena, stars Kate Beckinsale as a U.S. Marshall trying to solve Antartica's first homicide. The film, based on the Oni Press comic book series, is set to open on September 11, 2009.



Teen Wolf

JoBlo.com says here that, instead of making a theatrical remake MTV is going to make a series out of the film. And not an animated one like the 1986 version, but a live action one. Liz Gateley of MTV said: "It has a fresh take and is very different from the original. It has more of an 'American Werewolf in Paris' feel to it. It's a dramatic thriller with two best friends in the center who provide a great comedy element." Remember, not London, the good American Werewolf in movie, but Paris, the one everyone forgets.



Red Sonja

GettheBigPicture.net has been following Rose McGowan's tweets, and they say here that the film will begin production in 2010.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

Hotfix tells us here that the film has wrapped. The film has a 2010 release date.



Deadman

Total Film reports here that producer Guillermo del Toro and Warner Brothers have cast Nikolaj Arcel to direct Boston Brand's story in the DC Comics adaptation. Bloody Disgusting, at the same time, says here that scripting duties for the 2010 film go to Gary Dauberman.




Alien Nation

According to this article in Cinemastatic the TV cult hit, based on the movie cult hit, is heading back to television on SyFy sometime this year. Before fans of the show get to excited, producer Tim Minear says in this article at Earth's Mightiest, that he sees it as "The Wire with aliens."
