The Human Target

Comic Book Resources News has posted right here these links to Target 419 and this group of images and video clips from the upcoming television adaptation of the DC Comics series.

Thor

Marvel announces here that actor Tom Hiddleston has been cast in the 2011 film as the god Loki. This is the first official casting, while Chris Hemsworth has been rumored to be the title role, nothing official has been said.

Spider-Man: The Musical

The New York Post reports herethat Allan Cumming is in talks to play the Green Goblin, as Evan Rachel Wood is to play Mary Jane in Julie Taymor's $40 million Broadway production.

TV DVD News

TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted info about "Family Guy" (100th Episode Celebration) here & here, "Melrose Place" (Season 5, Vol. 2) here, "Ghost Hunters International" (Season 1) here, "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" (Season 1) here, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" (Season 5) here, "Battlestar Galactica" (Complete Series) here.

The Man Who Killed Don Quixote

ScreenRant says that the 2011 Terry Gilliam film is back on again. Gilliam said: "I'm not so much a filmmaker as someone who gets possessed by an idea and it doesn’t leave me until I make the film. I commit myself to it so fully." Earlier attempts to make the film were chronicled in "Lost In La Mancha."

TV Series Pickups & Cancellations

I have to say that the cancellation of "Life" hit me hard. This was not a greatly talked about show, but it never disappointed. Most of what follows is from E! Online. Most of these shows were "on the bubble" (Meaning it could go either way). Renewals: "Bones" on Fox, "Castle" on ABC, "Chuck" on NBC (but with budget concessions and only for 13 epsidoes, so far), "Cold Case" on CBS, "Dollhouse" on Fox (again, on 13 episodes and with limited budget), "Scrubs" on ABC. Cancelled (but these are always available for a last minute turn around): "Eleventh Hour" on CBS, "Terminator: The Sarah Conners Chronicles" on Fox, "The Unusuals" on ABC, "Without a Trace" on CBS. Last point is "Medium." Word is that if it is cancelled by NBC it may be picked up by CBS. EDIT: Michael Ausiello says on his Twitter that Medium has made the move to CBS. ALSO: CW is dropping "Reaper" and "The Unit" will continue, but in syndication. More as we find out.

The Road

This post-apocolyptical father-son road movie was supposed to be released back in November of 2007, but now Yahoo Movies says here that the movie is slated for October of this year. Based on the Pulizer Prize winning book by Cormac McCarthy, the flick has an HD Trailer here and a bunch of photos here.

Special thanks to Movie Goods.com for so many of the dynamite movie posters we use from time to time. You cannot find a better place to run down those new or classic posters.
