Superman: The Man of Steel

Paul Levitz wants us to know that things are not as changed as we have been led to believe. When he spoke here to Latino Review he said: "Last week Brandon Routh has come around the offices in New York and Los Angeles as of late to talk about Superman and what we want to do."



Footloose

Director Kenny Ortega wants to do a new version of the 1980's film and says that Zac Efron is his likely star for the 2010 remake. Ortega said: "I think he'd be the perfect, perfect, perfect candidate to step in. I mean he's got this global excitement, this wonderful know-how. He's the perfect age, so versatile, and talented and dynamic. You know it's hard for me to even imagine anybody that I think would be more perfectly suited."

It's a Wonderful World

Forrest Whitaker has been selected to direct a film biography of Louis Armstrong. Whitaker will also star in the film.



V 2.0

Variety reports here that ABC is developing a new adaptation of "V" written by Scott Peters. Warner Bros. TV will produce. Peters said: "Whenever I mention 'V' to anybody, they still have a lot of good memories about the original movie and series. Everybody has that imagery of their uniforms, or the visitor eating a hamster. It's a science fiction icon and too good to pass up."
