Hulk Vs. Thor, The Incredible Hulk 2, TV DVD News, Runaways, Superpower, Comic Previews

Hulk Vs. Thor

The sixth Marvel/Lionsgate animated DVD series will be released on standard DVD and Blu-ray in January 2009. The film is described thus: "It's gods versus monsters in this epic 45 minute movie! Never have we explored the explosive power of the Hulk like we have in this new film, every major character from the Marvel Thor universe is thrust into battle with this Green Goliath as he brings a new Ragnarok down upon the realm of gods." ComicBookMovie.com has put up the trailer here on their site.

The Incredible Hulk 2

Despite what has been heard in other quarters Gale Anne Hurd spoke here to MTV and told them that not only is the sequel coming, but that Edward Norton is on board. Hurd said: "It's all going to depend on the screenplay and where his character goes in any sequel, because he does have a multiple-picture deal. [Norton's situation] is the same with every franchise like this, when you have one of the top actors of his generation." Will Green Skin be in "The Avengers" (as a villain)? "Next, he’s likely to appear in an 'Avengers' movie but that's completely up to Marvel. It's wonderful that Marvel now controls so many of their own characters, and they can create a Marvel universe in film and populate it with so many of their characters who naturally exist together. I think an 'Avengers' film is a very exciting prospect."

TV DVD News

TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted info about "Emergency!" (Season 5) here, "Meerkat Manor" (Season 4) here, "What's My Line?" (Best of . . .Vol.1) here, "10 Items or Less" (Seasons 1 & 2) here, "Futurama" (Into the Wild Green Yonder) here, "Lost" (Season 4) here & here.

Runaways

Kevin Feige compares the project to "Goonies." And he hopes to have a finished script by early 2009, so this could be the film to follow "The Avengers" to the theaters. Feige said: "I love the idea. Brian brought to Marvel one of the best new concepts that we've had in quite some time. It's very different than anything we've done before."

Superpower

The BBC has commisioned Joe Ahearne to create this new take on superheroes. Ahearne said: "It is a new and original super-hero idea which is not a send-up. All the super-hero stuff that is on TV in this country - ITV's No Heroics, My Hero - British TV is happy to do if it is a send-up, but no one has done it for real."
