Marvel Schedule, Street Fighter, TV DVD News, The Brave & The Bold, Death of HD DVD, Comic Previews


Marvel Schedule

Toon Zone says in this posting that Marvel has a group of Animated DVD's and TV series come out this year and next. here are some of those:
They have scheduled a Spring 2008 launch for the new "Iron Man: The Animated Series."
"Wolverine and the X-Men" and "Hulk: The Animated Series" are coming in Spring 2009. There will also be a new show (with no known connection between the series and the children's toy line with the same name) called "Super Hero Squad."
The Direct-to-video animated features include "Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow" (Scheduled release date August 2008), "Hulk Vs." (January 2009), "Thor: Son of Asgard" (September 2009), and "Planet Hulk" (February 2010).




Street Fighter

For a second time a feature film is being made from the video game "Street Fighter." Andrzej Bartkowiak is directing the Justin Marks script. The story tells of martial artist Chun-Li (Kristin Kreuk), Balrog (Michael Clarke Duncan), Nash (Chris Klein) and the mystical Gen (Rick Yune). No one has yet been cast as the villain, Bison.



TV DVD News

The Brave & The Bold

This story at World's Finest says that there will be a new animated series this fall that showcasing Batman with another DC hero each and every every week. They also say that this show would have no ties to any previous animated Batman series.


Death of HD DVD

Toshiba has formally announced the end of HD DVD, ending their two-year battle with Sony. Atsutoshi Nishida, head of Tosihba, said: "We carefully assessed the long-term impact of continuing the so-called next generation format war and concluded that a swift decision will best help the market develop. It was a tough decision."
