Variety reports here that screenwriters Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris will not come back to write the sequel for Bryan Singer. The studio is now accepting pitches from potential scribes.
Yes Man
Zooey Deschanel and Jim Carrey star in Yes Man for Warner Brothers.The movie, based on the Danny Wallace memoir, tells of a man (Carrey) who decides to change his life by saying yes to everything that comes his way. Among the resulting series of unexpected comedic adventures is his relationship with a woman (Deshanel). Bradley Cooper plays Carrey's best friend and Peyton Reed will direct.

IESB.net, in an article you can find here, quoted Dark Horse Comics's Mike Richardson when he said that he is developing a new version of the 1994 movie "Timecop."
The Guardian reports here that a remake is coming of the film Alfred Hitchcock called: "The most terrifying motion picture I have ever made." The new film will star Naomi Watts and be directed by Martin Campbell. Tippi Hedren star of the original film "The Birds," is speaking out about this. Quoted by MTV, Hedren said: "A couple of years ago, when they were first thinking about it, they called and asked what I thought about a remake of The Birds. And I thought, Why would you do that? Why? I mean, can't we find new stories, new things to do? Must you be so insecure that you have to take a film that's a classic, and I think a success, and try to do it over?"
