The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

IGN says that Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media have decided the third film in the Chronicles of Narnia series will be opening a bit later that originally planned. "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" but will not be followed until the summer of 2008. The move was made "in consideration of the challenging schedules for our young actors." "Voyage of Dawn Treader" is now to open on May 7, 2010.

The Punisher: War Zone

Comic Book Movie says that former World Karate and Kickboxing Champion Lexi Alexander, who is directing the sequel to the 2003 Punisher movie has announced three more cast members to the sequel expected to debut next year sometime. In her blog she said: "There are not a lot of directors in the process of making a studio action film who can say that they don't have at least one bad actor somebody made them cast. I can say that. Still. (Knocking on every piece of wood as I speak). I have the best cast on the planet. The movie Gods were watching over me. I know, I know, give it up already. Well, here is who I'm allowed to reveal: Joining Ray Stevenson are Dash Mihok as Detective Detective Martin Soap, Colin Salmon as Agent Paul Budiansky and Doug Hutchinson as Loony Bin Jim. As I look at their headshots on the wall in my office, my heart does little summersaults. And... I have the perfect, most talented Jigsaw!!!!!!! Stay tuned. (Don't you hate that).

Avatar vs. Monsters vs. Aliens

DreamWorks Animation doesn't want a showdown with James Cameron's "Avatar," so they are moving the 2009 release date for their 3-D feature "Monsters vs. Aliens" to March 27 from May 15, in order to avoid going up against the May 22 opening of the Cameron feature.

TV DVD News

TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted info about "MI-5" (Volume 5) here and "What's New Scooby-Doo?" (Season 3) here, "Chuck" (Pilot) here, "Battlestar Galactica"(Final Art) here, "Lost"(HD Season 3) here and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (Complete Series) here.

CBS Premieres

A While back I got a DVD with some samples of upcoming CBS shows, but they bore the label "Not Review Copies" so I waited for the time to see more. Since I haven't gotten any more episodes and those shows are about to air, I thought I'd let you know what was coming up. The new Jimmy Smits show "Cane" holds every possibility of becoming the new generation of night time soap, and if you follow that sort of thing the cast cannot be beaten. "Viva Laughlin" has its points, but, ultimately doesn't deliver. The real winner is the comedy "The Big Bang Theory," if this one continues as committedly as the pilot it should be a long time hit.
