Disney's Clone Wars?, Joust, TV DVD News, The Informers, Animated Goonies, Mike Fright, Comic Previews


Disney's Clone Wars?

Animation Magazine cites JimHillMedia for a rumor that Disney is campaigning heavily to broadcast George Lucas' CGI Star Wars series "Clone Wars." They also report that Disney will turn a portion of Tomorrowland in Disneyland over to Lucas, and new Star Wars-related attractions will be added to the theme park. Lucasfilm responded that there have not been elevated talks with Disney. "Clone Wars" will broadcast in the fall of 2008.




Joust

Variety has confirmed that ther will be a big screen adaptation of the 1982 arcade game "Joust." CP Productions' goal is to focus on adapting graphic novels, comic books, novels and video games.

The Informers


Variety reports that Kim Basinger and Billy Bob Thorton will star alongside Brandon Routh, Austin Nichols & Ashley Olsen in Senator Entertainment's "The Informers." Based on short stories by Bret Easton Ellis, covering a course of a week in 1983 Los Angeles, production starts this October in Los Angeles, Buenos Aires & Uruguay.





Animated Goonies

Cory Feldman recently revealed here to MTV a possible follow-up for "The Goonies." Feldman said: "Right now they are talking about the idea of doing it as an animated series."
