Marvel Movies

IGN has gone all Marvel Newsish with word on new Marketing pictures here, Ryan Reynolds on if Cable will be in "Deadpool" here and Anna Paquin on the future of the X-Men (and her interest in "X-Men: First Class" about which she said: "Absolutely. Yeah… I would hope I could do a little bit more action next time, though. I kind of find it ironic that I did three big action films and did, actually, no action whatsoever. I mean I got some really amazing emotional story moments, but I didn't really get to do the physical stuff. You know, as much as I loved doing those films I was kind of like, 'OK, so when do I get to beat someone up? When do I get to steal some powers?' You know Sookie [Paquin's True Blood character] gets to do more action than Rogue ever did. So I'm just putting that out there. More action please, for next time.") here.

Thor has published the rumor that Brian Blessed will join the cast as Odin here. The film's release date is May 20, 2011.

Land of the Lost

CHUD has posted here the first episode of the TV show, just so you can compare the film to the original. has put some interviews with the new cast here.

TV DVD News has posted info about "Doctor Who" (Planet of the Dead) here, "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack" (Vol. 1) here, "Route 66" (Season 3) here, "Worst Week" (Complete Series) here, "The Mentalist" (Season 1) here, "The Big Bang Theory" (Season 2) here.

Clash of the Titans

SlashFilm has this note that Sam Worthington has been cast as Perseus in the remake.

Monster Movie Musical

Variety reports here that Mattel is mounting a movie musical based on an upcoming monster toy line. (sigh). Tim Kilpin, general manager for Mattel Brands' Girls, Boys & Games Group, and executive producer for the unnamed musical said: "This is a new step for us — a real opportunity to launch a new intellectual property on multiple platforms. It has a broad family appeal and the ability to translate as a musical, [in] publishing and [to] other venues."

Total Recall

The Hollywood Reporter says here that the 2011 remake now has a screenwriter. Kurt Wimmer is doing a "contemporized adaptation" of the Philip K. Dick story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale."

Special thanks to Movie for so many of the dynamite movie posters we use from time to time. You cannot find a better place to run down those new or classic posters.
