Battling Boy, Jonny Quest, Bourne 4, TV DVD News, Ghostbusters 3, Sin City 2, Bonnie & Clyde vs. Dracula, Comic Previews

Battling Boy

The Hollywood Reporter has this report that Alex Tse is to write the 2011 adaptation of the Paul Pope graphic novel, for Brad Pitt's Plan B and Paramount Pictures.

Jonny Quest

The L.A. Times reports here that Zac Efron will be playing the title character in the 2010 adaptation, though the title may change. It seems the crash of "Speed Racer" may have the studio scared, not the fact they have a 21-year-old playing an 11-year-old hero.

Bourne 4

Twitter posted here that Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass will be back for the film, slated for release in summer 2011.

TV DVD News

TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted info about "Prison Break" (The Final Break) here, "Worst Week" (Complete Series) here, "Life" (Season 2) here, "Zane Grey Theater" (Season 1) here, "Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs" (Vol. 2 & 3) here, "Reaper" (Season 2) here.

Ghostbusters 3

C.H.U.D. reports here that Dan Ackroyd is the pro-sequel, if it's done right. About the 2012 project Ackroyd said: "I'd want to see the third movie made. I think [the video game] is the third movie and if everything is creative and right, and this game helps get the third movie made… We have a good concept there; [we have] the young writers from The Office. I've worked with Harold [Ramis] on Year One, which is coming out. The Book of Genesis adapted into a comedy? Who but Harold Ramis could pull that off! So these two writers - [Lee] Eisenberg and [Gene] Stupnitsky - they sound like a vaudeville team or a law firm - are brilliant young guys. And they come up with a good story. When we do the Ghostbusters 3 movie, hopefully, Sigourney [Weaver] will be in, I know. We’ll make that happen. There’ll be a whole new generation that has to be trained. And that whole new generation will be led by an individual that you’ll all love when you hear who it is, but I’m not going to tell you now. There will be lots of cadets, boys and girls, who’ll be learning how to use the cyclotron, the accelerators, and the new stuff. The nuon splitter, the inter-planary interceptor, all these great tools they’re going to have to flip from dimension to dimension. Anyway. Game number two, maybe." DreadCentral says here that Rick Moranis and Ernie Hudson will be back for the film.

Sin City 2

Moviehole says here that if the Weinsteins don't begin production on the proposed 2010 sequel pretty soon they could lose the rights. It also says that the production is in close talks with Angelina Jolie (again).

Bonnie & Clyde vs. Dracula

My pal, Todd Norris, was the director of photography and editor, and his work will always be worth looking at, so you should go see it. The Kansas City premeire is Thursday, April 23 at 7:15pm at Kansas City Film Fest at the AMC Mainstreet. That's at 14th & Main, K.C. Mo.. Here is the official site and here is the trailer.
