Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, John Carter of Mars, TV DVD News, The Green Hornet, Charlie's Angels 3, Comic Previews

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Newsarama has posted an interview here with the first time director Patrick Tatopoulos. He is a special effect and make up whiz who has just moved to a different chair for this third film in the series.

John Carter of Mars

Ain't It Cool News has some updates here about the 2012 film from Writer's Panel at this year's Santa Barbara Film Festival. If you were worried about John Carter straying too far from the Civil War soldier Burroughs created, you can stop. Also while is NOT a Pixar film but a Disney, director Andrew Stanton's creative team from Pixar are all still involved. It's worth following the link to read.

TV DVD News

TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted info about "Blossom" (Seasons 1 & 2) here, "Voltron: Defender of the Universe" (Collection 8) here, "Star Trek" (Season 1, Blu-ray) here, "X-Men" (Attack of the Mutants) here, "In Plain Sight" (Season 1) here, "Two and a Half Men" (Season 5) here.

The Green Hornet

Breath a sigh of relief. Hitfix is reporting here thus: "I spoke this afternoon with a source close to the film, and while they didn’t call it completely dead, they did say it is ‘highly unlikely’ that the film will shoot in 2009 at all." Those who know me know that I am a huge fan of the pulp novels, the radio show, the serials and the TV show. I even like Seth Rogen (in comedies). But this one had a tinge of "Let's get 'campy'" that made me very uncomfortable.

Charlie's Angels 3

Drew Barrymore [who not only starred but produced the previous pair of films] said to the press: "Im so into it-'Charlie's Angels 3!'" Producing partner Nancy Juvonen followed by saying: "It's percolating up. It's rising to the surface." I admit, that is the perfect descriptive.
