Superhero Hype spoke here with producer Gail Anne Hurd about the Top Cow property, to star Jeanna Dewan and Luke Goss, but with no director or release date (beyond 2010) announced. Hurd said: "It's kind of like 'The Da Vinci Code' meets 'Wanted.' You've got the mythology and a character who isn't initially aware of her legacy which something I love. Many of my films deal with that. And it's still has supernatural elements."
Tarzan
Entertainment Weekly reports here that director Stephen Sommers and screenwriter Stuart Beattie are dumping the storyline that includes the boy being raised by apes in their 2010 Warner Brothers Tarzan film set in the 1930s. The story says: "The action-adventure icon will trash his loincloth and throw on a pair of khakis for the next big screen take on Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic character. Think 'Pirates of the Caribbean' with buffed-and-tanned actors flying through the jungle and sprinting up trees, parkour-style."
