Empire Movies has posted this rumor that Darren Aronofsky is in negotiations to direct the MGM remake of "Robocop."

MGM has greenlit Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard's "The Cabin in the Woods." Goddard will make it his directorial debut.

The Hollywood Reporter says here that the cult comic by Wendy and Richard Pini is heading to the big screen courtesy of Warner Bros. and Rawson Thurber. Thurber will write, direct and produce the feature, but no word is given if it will be animated or live action.
