Captain America DVD Rom
Tales of Wonder has announced the upcoming DVD Rom release of 41 years of Captain America. This will not include, sadly, any of the Golden Age adventures of the Star Spangled Avenger, but all of his post "being frozen in an ice berg chronicles." With the usual $49.95 SRP you can see the listing here. As an owner of the previous sets, let me promise you that this one is on my shopping list (though the 5/30 date should not be taken as anything but a target that may or may not be hit). 500 issues (that could take that price for a single copy of many of those comics) of any title would be a great excuse to read comics again. Maybe, with luck, we'll get an "All Golden Age" volume someday.

Glau is Terminator
Lena Headey, the title actress in "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" revealed to Slice of SciFi that Summer Glau will play one of two Terminator robots in the series. At WonderCon in San Francisco she indicated that Glau will play a female Terminator named Cameron (after James Cameron), the other Terminator is male and will be played by Owain Yeoman. Heady let it be known that one Terminator is out to protect the Connors and the other was sent to destroy them, though she wouldn't say wich is which. Heady said: "We were in Albuquerque for a month. And it was very intense, because TV is crazy. I mean, it's long days. It's like boom, boom, boom. You don't get any respite. But, I think it's going to be great. I don't know if its going to be picked up, because it's only in pilot stage right now. But I learned to shoot many weapons and how to recognize a Terminator. So it was a good experience."

Superman: Doomsday
Newsarama has the press release about the direct-to-video feature that covers the Death and Return of Superman storyline from the comics. Coming out on September 18, the press release includes details about the extensive special features and brings early word that such characters as Green Lantern and Wonder Woman, plus DC: The New Frontier, that are also in development for the DTV treatment.

BBC Goes YouTube
The BBC has announced that it has signed a major deal with Google to initiate three branded channels on YouTube. Thees will feature clips from entertainment shows as well as advertising-funded news. The nonexclusive partnership is the company's largest commitment to any portal outside its own http://www.bbc.co.uk site. There will not be any longform programming but it will allow users to link through to the BBC's Web portalto download BBC content. Under this agreement, fans of shows like "Life on Mars," "Doctor Who" and "Torchwood" will be able to watch clips and specially commissioned content.
